Terms of Service
Last updated September 16, 2026
The key points
- You start with 30 days of everything free. After that, MinutesMet is free for up to 10 active students.
- Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime.
- Founding member prices stay the same for as long as your subscription stays active.
- Your data is yours. If you stop paying, it stays readable and exportable.
- MinutesMet supports your professional judgment. It doesn't replace it.
These Terms are an agreement between you and MinutesMet ("we", "us") covering your use of the website at minutesmet.com and the app at app.minutesmet.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and using the Service in a professional capacity.
- Give accurate account information and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly at hello@minutesmet.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
2. Student information
You may enter information about the students you serve ("Student Data"). By doing so, you confirm that:
- You're authorized to access and record that information as part of your work.
- Your use of the Service follows your employer's or district's policies and applicable law, including FERPA.
- You'll keep any records your district requires in its own official systems. MinutesMet is a working tool, not a replacement for your district's system of record.
How we handle Student Data is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Professional judgment
The goal bank, evaluation templates, score descriptors, minutes check and reports are aids to help you work faster. You remain responsible for your clinical decisions, the accuracy of scores you enter, and the content of any IEP, evaluation or report. The minutes check is a planning estimate, not a compliance calculation.
4. Free trial and free plan
- New accounts get full access to every feature free for 30 days. No payment details are needed.
- After the trial, you can keep using the Service for free with up to 10 active students.
- If you have more than 10 students on the free plan, the others remain readable and exportable but can't be changed until you subscribe.
- We may change the free plan's limits in the future. We'll give at least 30 days' notice and will not delete your data because of a change.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until canceled.
- You can cancel anytime from the billing page in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Payments are non-refundable, including for partially used periods, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Prices don't include taxes, which may be added where required.
- We may change prices for new subscriptions at any time. For existing subscribers, we'll give at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect.
Founding member pricing
Founding member pricing is available to the first 100 subscribers. A founding member's price will not increase for as long as their subscription remains continuously active. If the subscription is canceled or ends because of non-payment, founding member pricing no longer applies, and resubscribing is at the price offered at that time.
6. If a subscription ends
If you cancel or a payment fails and isn't resolved, your account moves to the free plan. We don't delete your data because a subscription ended, and you can always read and export it.
7. Your data and our rights to use it
You keep all rights to the information you put into the Service. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide the Service to you. You can export your data at any time.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or to store information you aren't authorized to have.
- Try to access other users' accounts or data, or bypass the Service's security.
- Interfere with the Service's operation, or upload malicious code.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
9. Our property
The Service, including its software, design, goal bank and default templates, belongs to MinutesMet. You may use the goal bank and templates to write materials for the students you serve. Any wording you write or edit is yours.
10. Changes and availability
We're continually improving the Service and may add, change or remove features. We aim for the Service to be available whenever you need it, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. Keep your district's required records in its official systems.
11. Ending this agreement
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly violates these Terms. Unless there's a legal or safety reason not to, we'll give notice and a reasonable chance to export your data first.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MinutesMet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
15. Changes to these Terms
If we make a material change, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
